Albertsons Pumpkin Chocolate Chip Cookies

I love pumpkin chocolate chip cookies. They are seriously one of my favorite treats during the fall season. So when I saw these already made in Albertsons, I had to try them! One bite was enough to tell me that these were nothing like the cookies I could make. They had too much spice and not enough pumpkin or chocolate. I also found out that if you open these, you better eat them all quickly, otherwise these cookies get hard as rock which makes them even worse.

You can grab these at Albertsons or just avoid them altogether and make your own! I suggest the latter.

Flower Power Pumpkin Chocolate Chip Bar

Ironic that I discovered this after I went to the dentist. This is a small bakery in San Diego that usually has little to offer except for really expensive cakes that taste just so so. I found that they offered little treats like this inside for a reasonable price so I decided to spring for this treat. Happy I did because it was yummmmmy! Super moist and pumpkiny. Had just the right amount of chocolate as well. I would definitely get this again. Like I said, I’m not a huge fan of this place, but they definitely did this right!

If you would like to discover this yummy treat then you can find it in El Cajon at the Flower Power bakery. You won’t regret it!! …just don’t order a 100+ cake, please. That you will regret.

Sheldon’s Pumpkin Loaf

This little place just opened up in La Mesa so I wasn’t really expecting them to have anything pumpkin. Lucky for me, I was wrong! Even though they had no coffee(what kind of breakfast place has no pumpkin coffee??), they did have a pumpkin loaf! I bought a slice and brought it home. I found it was very similar to Korky’s, but not as good. Still very enjoyable. It had a great balance of nuts and pumpkin goodness. You couldn’t ask for much more than that.

You can find this in downtown La Mesa and get yourself some before they get rid of it completely. They might even have some pumpkin coffee by now.

Rita’s Pumpkin Pie Cream Ice

Honestly, I did not want to try this at all. I saw it at the fair and thought it would be awful so I wasn’t going to spend money on it. Luckily, they gave out samples and I am extremely grateful that they did as this ice was HORRIBLE. Just like I thought it would be. Way too much spice and the texture just does not go well with pumpkin. I didn’t even want to finish the sample honestly and neither did anyone else in my family. It was just too much and I have decided to never again ask for pumpkin pie Italian ice.

You can try this at Rita’s if you want but I will tell you right now that you will regret it and who really wants to live with those?

Birch Benders Pumpkin Spice Pancakes

I’m usually not one that likes to cook much if I don’t have to, especially not in the morning, but I will make an exception if the end result is a pumpkin pancake! I got this mix and decided that I would make some pumpkin spice pancakes.

At first I tried it without chocolate chips and found they were delicious! It’s rare to find a mix that is good on its own. I then decided I was going to throw some chocolate chips in there to make these even more awesome and wala! it did. Just the right amount of pumpkin and spice to kick off your morning. They were delicious both ways and I would definitely suggest you grab a bag of this so you can make these all year round.

I found this mix at Target which means that you can probably get it half off in a couple of days here. I know I’ll be stocking up on it!

Korky’s Pumpkin Bread

I love pumpkin bread as I have said many times on this blog. While running around for work, I found this little place in Old Town. Going inside, I found some bread that needed to be tried! My supervisor also felt the same way as she ate half of it before I could even take a picture of it. One bit of this treat and I was happy. It had the right amount of pumpkin as well as a good number of nuts. It was light and fluffy which made it seem like it was very fresh!

I would definitely buy a whole loaf of this if I could. If you’re in the area, stop by and grab a piece or two. Korky’s has a nice area where you can just relax and enjoy the flavors of the season.

Kellog’s Pumpkin Spice Crunch

The first thing I will say about this cereal is to be careful when you pour your milk into it. The small flakes make the liquid bounce right off and it gets all over the place. After you figure out how to not make a mess, you can try a bite of this overly pumpkin cereal. I wasn’t expecting much flavor when I first poured a bowl of this, but I was surprised to find that this had a little too much spice in it. The flakes are covered in a pumpkin flavor that isn’t too pleasing and a bit overpowering. The good thing about this cereal though is the tiny little crunch balls in it. They are very delicious but not pumpkin flavored.

You can grab a box of this at most grocery stores. I got mine at Target. I would suggest you mix this cereal with the pumpkin spice mini-wheats that I reviewed before. They help balance out the spice flavor in this. Or you could just avoid this cereal and try something a little more enjoyable.

Ghirardelli Pumpkin Spice Caramel Squares

I. Have. Been. Waiting. For. These. For. Years. This isn’t the first time that Ghirardelli decided to make pumpkin spiced flavored squares! They had these bad boys a couple of years back and I haven’t seen them again until this year! You can probably already tell, but YES I LOVE THESE. They are absolutely delicious. They have just the right amount of pumpkin caramel in them and they are soooo smooth. I could honestly eat the whole bag and so could my friend. They are bite size and easy to enjoy. That also makes them dangerous in the sense that they are addictive and make you feel less guilty for eating more than one since they aren’t that big.

You can find these at Target and any Ghirardelli store you come across. Please do yourself a favor and grab one or ten of these delicious treats!

Peet’s Coffee’s Pumpkin Scone

Honestly, I am not the biggest fan of scones in general. When I first tried this scone, I didn’t really like it. But I bought two and took the other to work a couple days later. After I took another bite of this, I found that I liked it! It tasted good with pumpkin coffee. I finished the whole thing, enjoying the pumpkin flavor. It had just enjoy pumpkin and sweetness that any pumpkin lover would enjoy this!

You can grab one at Peet’s Coffee and see for yourself how good this is!

Peet’s Coffee Chocolate Pumpkin Bread

I also wait all year to get me some pumpkin bread. I saw this and grabbed a slice to try later on. When I took a bite, I was expecting at least a little bit of pumpkin flavor but was met with absolutely nothing. This bread had no flavor at all! I took another bite thinking maybe it just needed another chance, but it was still very bland and disappointing.

I say to skip this one. You can make your own pumpkin bread and it tastes way better than this. Plus, you get a whole loaf to yourself if you do that! If you want to try this, you can grab a slice from Peet’s Coffee.
